OGRA recommends increase in petroleum products prices
OGRA has recommended the government increase in the prices of petroleum products from December 15. It recommended High Speed Diesel (HSD) price increase at Rs 1.98 per liter, MS at Rs 1.68 per liter, Kerosene Oil (SKO) at Rs 4.01 per liter, HOBC at Rs 6.63 per liter and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) at Rs 3 per liter. OGRA has also informed the government that as per calculations, the rise in the prices of oil products in international market suggests increase in the price of Naphtha (petrol) by 65.59%, Hsfo 90.52%, kerosene 63.32%, gas oil (diesel) 66.98%.
OGRA allows SNGP to increase gas rate from Jan 1, 2008.
OGRA has allowed SNGPL to make interim increase in gas price of Rs 13.77 per mmbtu (per million British thermal unit) from January 1, 2008 keeping in view of projected shortfall worth Rs 3,999 million. SNGPL has also projected cost of gas at Rs 1 billion. Shortfall of the company per unit of sales stands at Rs 14.20 mmbtu that would be recovered from the consumers.
