Veil or No-Veil - Muslim Reply

Non-Muslim: so you're a Muslim religious leader.. I have one problem with you Muslims: you oppress your women.

Muslim: How do we oppress women?

Non-Muslim: You make your women cover up completely and you keep them in the homes.

Muslim: I have a problem with you people: you oppress MONEY

Non-Muslim: What? How can one oppress money?

Muslim: You keep your money hidden away, in wallets, banks and safes. You keep it covered up. Why don't you display it in public if it's a beautiful thing

Non-Muslim: It will get stolen, obviously.

Muslim: You keep your money hidden because it is so valuable. We value the true worth of women far, far more. Therefore, these precious jewels are not on display to one and all. They are kept in honour and dignity.

Rushdie - Non-Muslim Confirmation

He embraced controversies rather than Islam.

An emotional Salman Rushdie “confessed” that he pretended to “embrace Islam” the religion of his birth, almost 18 years ago in the hope that it would lessen the threat to his life.

The India-born author’s novel, The Satanic Verses, had irked Muslims across the world and Ayatollah Khomenie had subsequently declared a fatwa against him.

In 1990, however, Rushdie had issued a statement saying he had renewed his faith in Islam. He had also said that he repudiated the attacks on Islam in his novel and was committed to working for better a understanding of the religion.

In an interview to be broadcast next month Rushdie claims his reversion to Islam was only “a pretence”. “It was deranged thinking. I was more off-balance than I ever had been, but you can’t imagine the pressure I was under,” he said.

“I simply thought I was making a statement of fellowship. As soon as I said it I felt as if I had ripped my own tongue out. It was the moment I hit rock bottom. I realised that my only survival mechanism was my own integrity. People, my friends, were angry with me, and that was the reaction I cared about,” he said.

Rushdie, 60, has claimed the criticism of the book upset him more than the fatwa.

Segregation in West

Check this out... all this time people were criticizing the segregation in Islam... now their own research and facts tell them its in best interest to segregate boys and girls... they are even doing that in elementary school! why?.. check tat link..

http://inarrators.com/content/view/580/104/

Islam is till day of judgment.. and it will prove itself anytime, every time

So I hope this gives encouragement to Muslim institutions that what they have been upon is good enough and not to blindly imitate the west.

Voting in Islam

Just happen to come across great article by Mufti Taqi Usmani in which he writes
“that the lack of interest towards elections is due to the fact that people

have linked Deen (religion) only to Salaah, Fast, etc. they consider politics,

economics etc as totally “foreign.” This is why we see many in their private

capacity dedicate and devote themselves to prayer but are quite reckless as far

as other dealings are concerned… such are the people who regard elections as

merely something of the Dunya having no connection to Deen, and have introduced

into Deen various evils…”
He stressed upon people to take VOTING as a "SHAHADAT" (in a sense of GAWAHI). I was thinking of not to vote but now i think its time to vote!!

Clear your own mind here.

The question is still in my mind that "WHAT IF NO RIGHT PERSON IS THERE TO VOTE FOR?"
