Mosque Fear - Am I Coward?

After the recent Pindi Mosque terrorism act, this fear of going to Mosque is undeniable fact. Everyone is fearing the gathering here. People are now thinking that wether they should go to mosques for prayer or not. Weak muslims who are used to pray Friday prayers in the whole week are already finding this sorry and gore incident as the base for not going to mosque. But is this fear in weak hearted only?

No, this is on everyones mind. People are fearing that something bad will happen to them. Wether those guys were muslims or not, but they were succesfful in making people think about not going to mosques. People are confused too that how can they be butchered in a mosque. They are in God's house. But alas! no body is there to explain to them that whose war is it really.

Just came across one excellent write up in Urdu by some fellow on BBC Urdu. He wrote about what's going on in the Mosque Goer Mind.. Here is the piece from the script.

اس بات کی کیا ضمانت ہے کہ جب میری پیشانی زمین پر ہوگی اور دل تیری ثنا کر رہا ہوگا تو میری پشت میں گولی نہیں مار دی جائے گی؟ ظاہر ہے تو یہ فیصلہ کر سکتا ہے کہ میں ایک بزدل عبادت گزار ہوں اور تجھے میرے سجدوں کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ میرا ایمان یقیناً کمزور ہے لیکن دل اس سے بھی کمزور۔
میں تو رکوع میں بھی جاتا ہوں تو سوچتا ہوں کہ میرے ساتھ رکوع میں جانے والا شخص ہوسکتا ہے دشمنِ اسلام ہو اور پیچھے سے آکر گولی چلانے والوں کا جائز نشانہ۔ لیکن مجھے شک ہے کہ حملہ آوروں کا ایمان تو شاید مجھ سے زیادہ مضبوط لیکن مجھے ان کے نشانے کی پختگی پر کوئی یقین نہیں
